Cookies
On our websites, we use (functional and analytical) cookies that are stored by your browser on your device, such as your computer, tablet, or phone.
Information is stored in these cookies (such as your PC settings and preferences you have indicated) to facilitate a subsequent visit to our website. This information does not contain name or address details or other personal data. You can set your browser so that you do not receive cookies during your visit to our website. In that case, however, it may happen that you cannot use all the possibilities of our website or that you do not have access to parts of our website. CannonWorks does not use special software or cookies to determine the identity or behaviour of the individual visitor.
CannonWorks uses Google Analytics to track how effective our Adwords advertisements are on Google search result pages and how visitors use our website. The information obtained for this purpose, including the IP address, is transferred to Google. This data is stored by Google on servers located in the United States. For more information, you can read the Google privacy policy and the specific Google Analytics privacy policy. CannonWorks has set up Google Analytics according to the instructions of the Dutch Data Protection Authority. This minimises the impact on the privacy of our visitors.
The information is used by Google to provide CannonWorks with reports about the website, to see how the website is used, and to provide its advertisers with information about the effectiveness of their campaigns. This information may be provided by Google to third parties insofar as third parties process the information on behalf of Google or when Google is legally obliged to provide information. CannonWorks has no influence on this. CannonWorks has not given Google permission to use the obtained analytics information for other Google services.
With your permission, we place "tracking cookies" on your computer. We use these cookies to track which pages you visit, to build a profile of your online behaviour. Again, this profile is not linked to your name, address, email address, and such, but only to tailor advertisements to your profile so that they are as relevant to you as possible.
How long do we retain your data for these purposes?
CannonWorks retains the data until data subjects cancel or terminate the relevant Account and/or App, plus the legal information obligation of the tax authorities. Unless the cancellation procedure allows for a different option.
Data subjects can cancel their Account at any time and then request the underlying data to be deleted. CannonWorks may still choose not to (immediately) delete certain personal data if this is required by CannonWorks due to legal retention periods, and retaining this data does not disproportionately infringe on your privacy.
Which parties have access to which data?
It is possible that CannonWorks shares certain personal data with third parties when reasonably necessary in the performance of its services. These parties are:
- External Help and support desk staff
- External IT developers
- Server/database administrator(s)
- External sales staff
They have access to the overarching management platform with limited rights, where they have no ability to make direct changes to the CannonWorks software platform or our other services and financial administration. Access is only granted when there is an ongoing project with one or more of the aforementioned parties. They do not have access to personal data of customers of our accounts. For server and database management, data is only accessible in case of an emergency or to upgrade the service.
With the (external) parties that have access to personal data, the data is (as far as possible) anonymised, and separate agreements are made to ensure confidentiality and lawful handling of personal data.
We will never sell, distribute, or lease personal data to third parties who aim to use the data for direct marketing without permission. Only if CannonWorks is legally obliged to do so, personal data will be provided to regulators, tax authorities, and law enforcement agencies. In such cases, CannonWorks will take appropriate measures that are reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is as well protected as possible.
How do we secure your data?
CannonWorks handles your personal data with the utmost care. We have taken various appropriate technical and organisational measures to secure your personal data against loss or unlawful use, which are reasonable given the costs involved and the nature of the personal data. We secure our systems and applications according to the applicable information security standards.
Transfer outside the EU
Your personal data may be transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area. CannonWorks will take appropriate measures that are reasonably necessary to ensure adequate protection of your personal data when transferring your personal data outside the European Economic Area. An example is that you can subscribe to a CannonWorks application via In App Purchase on an Apple IOS App.
